What is PRIMER?

  • PRIMER is a foundational learning program designed to bridge skill gaps and build a strong base before core skill training begins.

What is the duration of the PRIMER program?

  • PRIMER is a self-paced program with an expected completion timeline of three weeks.

What does the PRIMER curriculum include?

  • The curriculum covers Essentials, Electives as foundation learning.

Is the learning content personalized?

  • Yes, PRIMER offers personalized learning paths based on your career track and job family.

What is the mode of delivery for PRIMER?

  • PRIMER is delivered as a fully self-paced learning program, enabling learners to progress at their own pace.

How many hours a week should I expect to spend on my coursework in order to finish on time?

  • Between instructional content, quizzes, external resources, and other course-related activities, we recommend that students spend 1-2 hours a day learning.

If I need support with my content, who can I reach out to?

  • Knowledge is our Q&A Platform where you can post questions related to your program’s content. Your questions can be answered by either your fellow Learners or a Udacity mentor. You can also reply to other people's questions there if you know the answer! If you have content-specific questions, the best place to look for answers is Knowledge. Chances are someone has already asked a similar question. The search results are filterable by program and project.

How do I ask a question in Knowledge?

  • If you need to reach out to our mentors with your technical questions you can post the question on Knowledge. 

  • You should next see the question posting form, please fill out the details as follows:
  • Type in your question briefly in “Question”
  • Elaborate your question with all details in “Details”
  • Attach Github or project link (this is optional)
  • Your program should be automatically selected based on your enrollment, please verify it's accurate
  • Click “Submit Question”

How do I know if my questions were answered in Knowledge?

  • You should receive an email every time someone answers your question in Knowledge. You can also see a history of your questions you've asked and answers you've given in the Activity tab in Knowledge.

Are there assessments in PRIMER?

  • Yes, PRIMER includes an assessment to evaluate your understanding of the concepts covered.

What is the PRIMER assessment format?

  •  The assessment consists of 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed within 30 minutes.

When is the PRIMER assessment conducted?

  •  The PRIMER assessment conducted at the end of the PRIMER program.

Will I have access to the material of my program after I finish it successfully?

  • Yes, you will have indefinite static access to the content after successfully completing your program. 

Will I get a certificate if I successfully complete my track?

  • Yes. You will receive a Certificate of Completion once your program

How to be eligible for the certificate?

  • To receive the certificate, you must successfully complete your program within the time frame allotted.

Are there any required documents to receive my certificate of completion?

  • There are no documents required. Once you are eligible for the certificate, you will be able to issue your certificate.

How will my name be written on the certificate?

  • Certificates will be issued based on the name provided in your classroom. You can edit your name from inside your Classroom settings BEFORE graduation but not after. Please make sure that the first name and last name displayed in your Classroom settings appear in the way would like them displayed on your certificate. The name displayed on your certificate name cannot be changed after graduation.

Can I get a hard copy of my certificate?                                        

  • Udacity only provides graduates with a digital copy of the certificate. However, you can always download and print your certificate, if you wish! 

How can I prove that I have graduated?

  • Once you graduate, there will be a "View Certificate" button at the bottom of your Udacity homepage under the “Graduated” section in your classroom. There, you will find a unique link to share your verified graduation certificate. This is a publicly viewable version of your graduation certificate that can be shared with employers and recruiters as well as any of your social media outlets. Your certificate will provide your graduation date as well as the title of your track as proof of completion.   

Can I change the email address that I have used to sign-up?

  • You should maintain the same email address you used to apply for the Program for the duration of your entire course in order to maintain eligibility for this Nanodegree program.

Can I withdraw/postpone studying after I am enrolled?

  • There are no withdrawal or postponing options available in the program. You should only join this program if you are committed to learning and graduating within the defined timeline of the program.
